Crafting Your Comeback

Our Story

In 2014, Gabriel faced a life-changing event after losing part of his left leg in a motorcycle accident. Recovery meant months of physical therapy, endurance training, and adapting to a prosthetic—but it also exposed a gap in performance clothing.

Traditional clothes couldn’t keep up. They lacked the flexibility, durability, and style he needed for therapy, sports, and everyday life. Constant outfit changes and torn fabrics turned small frustrations into big obstacles.

That realization sparked something bigger, and that’s where Aurushi begins.

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Aurushi draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi – the practice of mending broken pottery with a special lacquer called urushi.

The name combines "urushi" with "Au," the periodic symbol for gold, creating a deeper meaning that resonates with our mission. In kintsugi, broken pieces aren't hidden; they're highlighted with gold, celebrating the object's journey and unique history.

This philosophy perfectly captures our belief that adaptation and recovery aren't weaknesses to be concealed, but rather experiences that add to our strength and beauty. Like the golden seams in kintsugi pottery, Aurushi helps people showcase their resilience and embrace their unique stories.

Our Mission

At Aurushi, we bridge the gap between recovery and everyday activity. Whether you're training, rehabilitating, or simply living, we know movement matters, and what you wear makes all the difference.

Our clothing is made to be functional and easy to wear, a versatile staple for any occasion, with a timeless style and the durability to handle whatever life throws your way.

Tested against the demands of prosthetics and braces, every piece is crafted to support your comeback with confidence and freedom.
