Pants for a prosthetic leg

Most pants are cut for two legs that never change shape during the day. If you wear a below-knee or above-knee prosthesis, you already know the problems: a narrow leg that catches on the socket, a hem that bunches at the pylon, and no way to adjust a liner without undressing.

A zip that opens the whole leg

The Kintsugi Jogger has a full-length side zipper on each leg. Unzip it and the leg opens up, so you can check fit, swap a sock ply, or reach a valve or pin lock where you are. Zip it closed and it looks like a regular jogger.

The cut is a straight tailored fit with room through the knee and calf for a socket, tapering at the cuff. The body fabric is 90% nylon and 10% elastane with four-way stretch, and the trim is Cordura and Dyneema, chosen to stand up to rubbing from hardware.

Made by an amputee

Aurushi was founded by a below-knee amputee who got tired of cutting up sweatpants. The jogger comes in men's and women's cuts, Black and Navy, sizes S to XXL, for $128 with free U.S. shipping. U.S. shoppers can pay with an HSA or FSA card through Flex.

Not sure about size? Choose by waist, size up if you are between sizes, and remember exchanges are free.

Questions

Does it work with an above-knee prosthesis?
The side zip runs the full length of the leg, so it opens from hip to ankle. That gives access to an above-knee socket as well as a below-knee one. Fit depends on your socket size, so check the size chart and size up if you are between sizes.
Can I put the pants on over my prosthesis?
Yes. Unzip the leg fully, step in or wrap it around the prosthesis, and zip it closed. You do not need to take the prosthesis off to dress.
What sizes and colors does the Kintsugi Jogger come in?
Men's and women's cuts in Black and Navy, sizes S to XXL. Choose by waist measurement; if you are between sizes and wear a socket or brace, size up.
What if the size is wrong?
Exchanges are free. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unworn items with tags; we deduct $10 from U.S. refunds for the return label.
