About Aurushi
Aurushi is rooted in the Japanese art of Kintsugi — the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold. Rather than hiding damage, Kintsugi honors it, believing that repair can become a source of strength.
That philosophy is deeply personal.
After losing my leg, I learned that recovery isn’t just physical. It’s mental. Emotional. Identity-shaping. What I wore mattered more than I expected — and too often, clothing made me feel restricted, fragile, or defined by my injury. Fabrics wore out too quickly. Fits didn’t work with my prosthetic. Styles made me feel limited instead of confident.
Aurushi was created to challenge that.
The name Aurushi comes from the gold lacquer used in Kintsugi repairs. It represents resilience, intention, and the belief that what we’ve been through can make us stronger — not something to hide.
That belief guides every decision we make: adaptive apparel designed from the start to work with prosthetics and braces, engineered for durability and access, and made to feel like something you’d choose to wear every day.
Aurushi isn’t about “adaptive” as an afterthought. It’s about honoring real movement, real lives, and real confidence — through products built to support how people actually move through the world.
Built With Our Community
Aurushi isn’t about “adaptive” as an afterthought. It’s about honoring real movement, real lives, and real confidence — through products built to support how people actually move through the world.
Aurushi was created from lived experience — but it’s shaped by the community.
Adaptive needs aren’t one-size-fits-all. Bodies change. Devices evolve. And the realities of daily movement don’t always show up in design rooms. That’s why Aurushi is built to evolve, informed by the people who wear our products every day.
We’re committed to listening, learning, and continuing to design alongside the adaptive community. If you have feedback, ideas, or suggestions for future iterations, we want to hear from you.
This isn’t just about improving a product. It’s about building something better together.
